"It is what it is."
That's been a phrase I've uttered from time to time over the last eight years or so, along with millions of other folks out there. I heard it this morning on a walk through the Union Square Green Market. Apparently it was voted as the top cliche of 2004. I'm so behind the times.
But you know what? That phrase sucks. I'm going to try to stop saying it. I'm not in the helplessness business, I'm in the make it better business.
It is what we make it.
And we can always make it better.
